OK, I saw in "Mom of 10 Cats" signature that she now has 15 cats. I was just wondering who has the most cats on this board. I don't mean feral cat colonies. (And I have the utmost respect, admiration, and appreciation to those of you who take on that job) I'm asking who has the largest number of felines who come and stay in(or come and go from) the house, all have names, and are fed and cared for by you personally. Can anyone beat 15?

Mom of now 15 has me beat. I'm sitting with 11 right now, until tomorrow morning, which might get me up to 12. What a woman that Mom of 15 is!

I have 20- 5 are brand new (ferals) and right now are hanging down at the creek- the others are all my cats, all have names and personalities to match their name. And no, I am not a shelter, I just feel like someone has to help these cats, and in my area I'm it.

Oooo a calico persian, eh? Sounds like a beautiful girl!

If I get my new one tomorrow, I was going to post a picture and have a name contest. Might be a fun topic in the lounge! Do you have a pic of your darling?

And right....you'll stop at 22 (not!). I was going to stop at 9....

There are 2 kitties at the shelter who have been there for about a month; they were supposed to be adopted weeks ago, but the adopter never showed up to get them. They've since developed bad colds and have been on meds, so no one has given them a second glance.

They are sisters and very devoted to one another. We don't think they would do well if seperated, especially Alice, who is the shy one. The shelter is back to overflow status and it is likely some cats will be put down if there are not enough adoptions. We have spoken with the shelter manager, who has agreed to let us have the girls if it gets to that point.

Check out Alice and Peaches, they are on the petfinder page that is linked in my signature. They are very, very sweet girls. Peaches is already getting attached to Tybalt, she perks up when she sees him when we go in to take photos of new cats to update Petfinder.

Oh! I think I remember them from a post that Tybalt posted. I remember seeing that they were going to be adopted together. I guess in a way it was good the people didn't come back... if they're the sort that will come in, go through the adoption processs, and never come back for the girls, they're not really people you want caring for the babies anyway.

I'm glad that Alice and Peaches will be going home with you if the shelter gets to the point of putting down some kitties. Poor little things. I hope their colds go away soon too.

And the little tuxedo girl that I wanted to bring home today has ringworm and ear mites. The vet will keep her and treat her for a bit until I bring her home. But she did test FIV/FeLV/etc negative!

Well, I am not a slacker, but I am not a winner. I have 14 indoor only cats but I also have 3 fosters in the house. So can I take credit for 17?

LOL Jen! I think you can safely take credit for 17. How old are your fosters? How long have you had them? Who do you foster for? We have asked at the local (Montco) SPCA about fostering, but they don't allow for it in their charter...so instead of fostering, we just end up adopting LOL.

LOL There are 3 white ones on our Petfinder list right now, one has no name. He is white with blue eyes and a little pale grey mark on top of his head. The two Goddesses are both pure white, with pale blossom pink noses as well as inside their ears. They are just gorgeous, I wish we could take them. I am in love with them!
