Two and a Half Men with Ashton...

I have been waiting to see this premiere and Ashton was great. I will miss Charlie very much but I actually hardly ever watched the show, I mostly watched late night re-runs and found it hysterical. I wasn't sure how Ash would do but the first show was great, he did a fantastic job and kept me in stitches. Of course the show wouldn't be same without Jon Cryer, he's funny as heck. Don't know how long this show will go without Charlie but it started out very good. Anybody else watching.

I didn't like it with Charlie so I doubt if I'd like it any better with Ashton.

I was only able to check out the second half so I didn't catch the intro to Ashton Kutcher's character..... but it is obvious they are trying to introduce him as an obnoxious, narrow minded, self involved, attention seeking guy yet some how not related to........
If he can pull it off, props to him
Oh yeah, I never watched the show for more then 5 minutes at a time anyway.......never was a fan

I watched 2 1/2 men all the time. That is, until now. I did watch the new one and thought it was HORRIBLE. I can't stand Ashton to begin with but I found his acting to be sort of forced, like he was definitely trying too hard.

It was funny until he showed up though. The women at Charlies funeral...

I'm not a fan of Ashton. No one will ever be able to replace Charlie Sheen. While you can't always agree with is personal life, he was great in the role.

IMHO they should have just cancelled the show.

I didn't watch the new season premier. I didn't even know it aired.

The jury's still out for me. I love most of the cast already and Ashton isn't hard to look at. It depends on how funny he is. Judging by the first episode - funny enough to watch, but doesn't compare to the Charlie version.

I am a fan of Ashton, but also agree that they should have just canceled the show.
Maybe Charlie Sheen was great playing himself in the role that was written for him year after year, till he thought he was that much better than to even keep up that one and only role he was asked to do, not to mention with a very large paycheck to do so......
I doubt Charlie Sheen could replace Charlie Sheen at this point.......

I watched it. It was alright, I will continue to watch it to see where they go with the storyline.

I only watch this show by accident. And I missed it last night.

At the funeral Rose claimed he "accidentally" fell off a train platform and was hit by a train.

after she found him in the shower with another woman on their honeymoon

I thought it rocked! LOVED it, and I even drooled a little at Ashton and all his nakedness

I agree!!! I loved the funeral it was funny. The rest of the episode I could have lived without. Allen as a character was always funny and it was kinda lame that now he was the funniest one on the show. We are gonna give it a go for the next episode and from there decide if its even worth takin up space on the DVR. We LOVE Two and a Half Men even have it on DVD but its pretty bad when DF who obsessively watches and laughs at every episode immediately deleted it off the dvr when we were done watching..Normally he will save it to watch again.

I do find it really funny that Charlie Sheen is pretty much begging for his job back..again. Sobriety does funny things to some people.

Charlie has signed up for another sit com in development. It's called "Anger Management" based on the movie. He will be playing the therapis.

I've watched it, but not regularly. I did tune in on Monday night, but didn't watch very much of the show. (I was impatiently waiting for the new Hawaii 5-0 at 10:00)

Long ago, during its first season or two, the show was just great... but over time, it has become almost exclusively focused on sex and bathroom jokes. I can take a bit of the former, but the latter just puts me right off. But when it was good, it was very, very good! Remember the "Oshikuru" episode? Now that was FUN!

Charlie Sheen has a brilliant comedic mind -- I hope somebody can get him into serious treatment for the drugs and for the mental illness as well. But for better or worse, he's always fascinating to watch. Ashton Kutcher... not so much. I like the character he's playing, though. It could work.

I have to admit, when watching the new episode, I got excited to see John Stamos walk through the door. I think he would have done good since his charm has turned into crude humor. He has more flare and personality than Kutcher. Oh well, a girl can dream.

I do not care for Ashton at all. I think he is annoying and I was disappointed in the first episode with him in it this last week. Sure, there were a couple of laughs but I doubt I will watch again...... I miss Charlie, he just made that show and I think it should be cancelled. I thought that anyway after they fired him.......

I got a bit excited to see him!!!! I thought it was some sort of twist and he would be joining the cast. No such luck

I watched it, I thought it was funny. Ashton will never be as funny as Charlie was, but so far it seems like something I will continue to watch.
I've always watched the show, since the first episode. The past couple of years I thought it was a little raunchy at times, and I have high hopes that it will become a little bit more 'tame' now. Seriously, bathroom humor gets a little old after a while.
I've never been a fan of Ashton, but he definitely is easy on the eyes. I thought he actually did ok. Loved seeing Thomas Gibson, too---another easy on the eyes kind of guy.
I've always thought Jon Cryer's character was vastly under-rated; I think my favorite character is actually Charlie and Alan's Mom. I just love her!

I was surprised at Ashton's performance. He seemed to revert back to his '70s show character at times but he was pretty good. I did enjoy the first part but I think the show could have a chance. It won't be as good as with CharlieSheen. Yeah he's a player but his strange behaviour was him coming down from the drugs. He was roasted the same night and seemed to be back to normal as opposed to the 'winning' guy on drugs. I am not saying he's a saint but drugs can mess you up. Sad that a Hollywood guy with seemingly everything like talent, money, family would feel the need to resort to drugs. But he is human...

I don't care for Ashton and he's worse with the Rachel cut and the facial hair. I don't like it when guys work out their upper body and not their lower body. His legs were chicken legs. Why do guys do that? I love a guy with nice legs! I love the mother too!

Anyway, I think the chemistry was good -hopefully it will continue as it is one of the very few shows I like to watch.

IMO, nice hair. I could do without the beard. I think he was trim and muscular all over. I didn't see any chicken legs!
I'm glad we don't all have the same taste in guys!

Carol, like I said in our e-mail, I loved the beginning (funeral, etc.), but just didn't care for Ashton. Maybe it'll take time to get used to him and again it all depends on the storyline. Alan is the best, Jake is getting older and isn't "cute" anymore. Berta is one of a kind. She could have her own show and it would be a riot! Charlie fit the role perfectly (even though I don't especially care for him), but Charlie Sheen was really just playing himself on the show!

I watched the Charlie Sheen Roast on Comedy Central and it was great. I think Charlie is trying to get his act together yet again, I will always root for him, he is the best. I think Two and a half Men has high ratings right now because of curiosity but don't think the show will last, I will be surprised if it does. Just ain't the same without Charlie.

Accidently caught the Charlie Sheen Roast on Comedy Central last night and it was a riot ... and for Paul and me to stay awake past 11 pm it "had" to be good. Charlie seems to be a little more humble. Maybe he will finally clean up his act. Anyway, really did enjoy the Roast.
