Angus is 3 years old and from what I've read, even for a cornie, he should be fully not a kitten anymore. He was neutered at about 6 months old and is the only cat in a home of 3 adults. We read about how this breed is "active" but that just doesn't start to describe his level of activity and need for constant human interaction. Now he is different from his kitten-hood which did last just about until 2 to 2 1/2 years old. He has long nap periods between his crazy morning time, crazy late afternoon time and crazy late night time.
I saw a show on Animal Planet once called "my cat from hell", they had a Sphinx on there once and that was my cat! I was not willing to make my home into a cat playroom as they suggested, though we have tried to increase play time and provide toys, catnip (he does like it). But if we settle in to the couch, he's up in my husband's face (guess who's not a cat person) or trying to bite the strings on his banjo.
My husband suggested (this is how desperate he is) that maybe Angus needs a buddy. I watch the website for the breeder he came from and they have a full sibling of his available, but maybe we need some slightly different genetics? Maybe a girl cat (who would be spayed) would be better, I've heard the girls of this breed aren't quite as social, so maybe the two of them could hang out.
I would especially love to hear from people who have dealth with this breed and know what I'm talking about.
