I have multiple cats.
I found blood in cat urine on my Family Room rug.
I've seen 3 "pee areas" that when blotted the paper towel is dark pink / red. Two of these areas are on the 1st floor & 1 area is on the 2nd floor.
There are several cats they never go upstairs so they are eliminated.
I've also eliminated 2 others because I saw them use the litter box & then blotted the wet litter & it was not pink/red.
I put 2 cats in dog crates last night. I cut up pieces of white paper (instead of litter) so I could see if the pee was normal color or pink.
As of today @ 10:30 am they have not pee'd.

I am sending vibes and hope you can figure out quickly which cat it is ...

I don't remember how many cats you have, and I don't know how many are on the "suspect" list. But if it's only 2 or 3, you may want to talk to the vet about bringing them all in, and having them express their bladders to get the urine samples.
