A friend's son found a kitten and called me...of course...lol. I have now had this kitten for 2 weeks. I'm not really sure how young he is. My guess is younger than 12 weeks. He's a very cute kitten....anyways...to the point. Lil guy needs a home, I cannot keep him, I've got my hands full with my 3 as it is. Plus I'm living with my mom again, and she's not all that thrilled that I took him in. So...if there is anyone in my area or somehow could get here....he needs a home.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I would post ads to make sure he doesn't belong to anyone first. Also sometimes local vets will take them in and find them a great home.

Thank you for rescuing this kitty!
What you may want to do is search http://www.petfinder.com for rescues/shelters in your area, and contact the no kill shelters and foster networks to see if you can find one with space that can take the kitty. If it's a foster network, you can also offer to foster the kitty, you'd just like their help in placing him, and that he be on rotation for adoption days wherever/whenever they have them. It'd help a LOT if you were able to pay for his neutering, testing, deworming (if you haven't already), and vaccinations.
The more you can do, the more they'll be willing to help.
You can also make posters not just to see if he belongs to someone, but to put it out there that he's up for adoption. Many vets also have boards for this too.

Could you foster him? As Laurie said, many shelters will be very willing to help you, even with all costs
if you can keep him till they have an opening at their facility. I have been very lucky to have found such a wonderful shelter in my area that is very willing to do this for many a stray. Just start making calls and you might be surprised at the willingness to support you in your rescue of this kitty. And, it was very, very kind of you to take in this kitten
. Good luck

I actually ended up getting the full story on this cat. The kid who gave him to me, his friend had the kittens and the parents were getting annoyed I guess that they werent finding homes quick enough for their liking. So the kid took it upon himself to try and help the kitty.
I've actually been in this situation before...just with alot more cats...lol. I had my Tiger's 2 sisters, his mom, and her new litter of 4 kittens all at once. I had called the one no-kill animal shelter in my area, they put me on a waiting list for the 2 sister cats, told me it would be a good 6 months before they would be able to take them....4 years later...they still havent called.
