Question of the Day - Saturday, September 17th

Good morning everyone. Sorry this is a bit late.

Well, summer is coming to an end. Soon a thick blanket of snow will cover this part of the world. But let's try to see the positive.

What is your favorite winter activity?

I love snowboarding. And since I'm Canadian, I love hockey. Other than that, I like winter driving. I think it's fun, as long as you know what you're doing and are careful.

I don't get to enjoy any winter activity. All my time is spent constantly clearing my drive and removing snow from the roof of my home and wildcat enclosures. I get a ton of snow, last year I got approx 12 feet of snow. But when I can, I do enjoy hiking in the winter. With all that snow cover, it is so quiet.

We don't have a real winter where I live so the closest thing would be drinking hot chocolate on those few cold days we have

I enjoy nothing about cold weather, except sitting by my fireplace drinking hot chocolate or coffee.

I'm not a huge fan of winter. In fact, if I had my choice, I would be reincarnated as a bear so I could sleep through the entire season . But, since I'm not a bear I guess I have to deal with it.

I do love taking my dogs for a walk (and by that I mean letting my dogs out of the house and letting them run. They stay by me for the most part). I love walking when it's snowing. Everything is so quiet and pure. It's like the earth is holding it's breath.

Other than that you can have it! I'm NOT looking forward to shoveling, snow blowing, etc. Although if we get a decent sticky snow I may actually make a snowman .

My winter activity seems to go back and forth from toting water, grain and cat food to the barn and keeping that danged path to the barn and to the road open. I really don't much like winter anymore - cold weather and arthritis are not a happy combination

It rarely snows here. The last time was Jan 1999. But I like snuggling under the covers with a good book.

I winter. I snow. So I even love to shovel my drive way . So anything outside is good with me . Yes, I am so weird that if I had money I would follow the cold.

Honestly? If I could go into hibernation when the first flake of snow flies and stay there until the beginning of April, I would happily do just that.

I despise winter. I hate being cold and I hate driving on ice. I hate constantly shoveling my driveway. I hate the howling winds. And I hate listening to all the weather advisories that come out about all of it. Usually by the end of February, I'm in the middle of a deep depression. (I keep telling Rick that I want to move to Belize.)

I can find absolutely nothing nice to say about winter.

I used to love sledding in NJ, and shoveling snow. Used to make money doing that and could spend hours out there making piles.

Now my favorite winter activity is hoping for snow! I now enjoy cuddling up with the kitties and husband when its cold.
