Keke a cat that adopted us has crossed that bridge

Our 6 year old calico cat had to be put to sleep today. Little did we know that she was born with a birth defect. One of her kidneys never developed which means the other one worked twice as hard. The vet said her kidney that worked was like a 12 year olds kidney. The stones in her one good kidney were big and could not have passed. We could have given her pain meds and maybe she would have lived months or even days. I didnt want her to suffer so we put her to sleep.

If you are a new member or an old member please read my story about Keke that I posted 5 years ago.

What a beautiful girl. The deepness of your love for her makes up for the shortness of her life.

God bless.

here are some of Keke's characteristics

she was very smart
One day she caught my reflection in the mirror then turned around and looked at me then turned around and looked in the mirror...she did a triple take..very funny

every time she saw me outside should would wait at our window door and look at me patiently.

if I walked to the back yard, she would go to the back room and watch me from the window

she loved it at night when me and the mrs went to bed...she got all excited that mom and dad are napping

speaking of naps, if i was tired after getting off work, I would sometimes take a nap...she would jump on the bed and nap with me...doing those hed butts into my hand for me to pet her.

when she was an outdoor cat she should shake the window screen to wake me up if she wanted to see me or was hungry.

she was always a mom and sometime last week one of her kids who is only 8 months younger than her was play wrestling with out oldest cat...well the oldest one is the queen and she got on top of him and he let out a squeal. Keke being the meowmy that she is quickly came to his defense.

I cant tell you the number of times she waited for me or saw me leave at the front of the house window...

she was the most affection cat we had and I miss her so much.

Play peacefully on the bridge sweetheart KEKE
