Took off the E-collar and bloody mucous on her stool. :(

Today is day 8. The wound is completely closed and looks wonderful - no redness, no puffiness. Just perfect. I may put the collar back on her when I go to bed (and can't watch her), but so far, she is just playing and having a BALL. She could care less about the stitches!

Unfortunately, she went to the litter box tonight and there was a puddle of bloody mucous on the top of her stool. She didn't cover the stool either and the smell was strong...but I am not sure if it smelled strong because she didn't cover it or if it was the stool itself. I am just sitting here praying to God that she doesn't have coccidia or giardia. She has been here at month and a half now and never had an issue...but she was stressed with the surgery and that could have caused a "flare." Oh Lord help me I absolutely can't go through THAT again. I am hoping it was a fluke. PLEASE BE A FLUKE. Send us fluke

Thanks for the vibes! I am thinking maybe the collar, the stress of the surgery, not being able to eat like she did before, not being able to run around and play... ?? She goes back for a check on Monday with the vet and I will let them do a fecal then and see if they see anything. She sure doesn't act sick. She is acting like she has just gotten a new lease on life! LOL

Hoping it's just a fluke. Lucky she kept her present uncovered for you though
