Cat tree suggestions?

Since I am in process of breaking down my 20 gal fish tank (giving it to a friend this week), I decided a nice tall cat-tree would look nice in the spot. I don't have anything tall for the cat.. just two 2-footer posts, so this would be good for them.

I've decided to buy online (pricing can be cheaper, plus, delivery guy can bring it up the stairs for me, LOL )

Anyway, I've never bought a tall tree before. I am thinking 5 foot-er, very modern (black and/or red carpeting is sexy!) should be nice. and must be strong and sturdy! I am also thinking of one with a cube attached for Monet to hide in.

Anyone have suggestions where to look to shop.. brands, and on the cheaper side (not too cheap where it's not sturdy).?

I love this: it's 4 foot tall.. aiming for a 5 footer.

I have this tree...and I really love it. From the day I got it, the "ladder" attachments just didn't work right...however my cats don't need them anyway. They love all the space and it is actually over 6 feet tall.

that is nice! But too big for my area. the tree would need to be on the narrower side.

I have two Armakat trees and I highly recommend them. Not only can they handle six cats beating on them day after day, you can replace any of the pieces (like the scratching posts) if they become too worn for a reasonable price. I have these two:

I, too, have an Amarkat, I bought this one from this store: http://www.catbedandtoy.com/site/879654/product/B5701

The cats go through phases with it, sometimes they'll be on it all the time, and then for a while they ignore it. I'm glad we have it though, and even in the small apartment it didn't seem to take up much space.

I'm sure your cats will enjoy it, whatever kind you decide to get. Genever settled herself in the little house part as soon as I took the pieces out of the box and before I started to put it together!!

I forgot about this thread, lol.

Since I broke down my 20 gal tank, I decided to move my desk/coffee table into that corner and it works out better for me. More space for the kitties to play around and not hit the desk in front of the couch.
