Cat hardly using litter box at all - nor anywhere else for that matter

I've never seen anything like this - the litter box has nothing in it - she's not doing anything. Last BM was Sunday morning - and there are hardly any wet spots in the box either the past few days. This is after we discovered that she has been using one of our bedroom carpets as a litter box - mostly for urinating. She was to the vet last night, and they did cystosentesis - got some urine out of her to check for a UTI (negative). I am hoping to retrain her litter box habits, but right now I'm just concerned that she isn't doing anything. And, I checked all around her living space - thinking she is hiding it somewhere - but no - there is nothing in the whole basement. Any thoughts? Shouldn't there be something in that box soon?? I'm totally confused by this cats' behavior. I am going to be starting retraining using the 'attract' litter and also a pheromone collar. And, we got another box for her to have upstairs - hopefully that will steer her clear of the bedroom carpet.

It's also important what you use to clean the carpet. Even minute traces of urine or feces smell can make your cat use the spot again and again.
