The network card in DH's computer bit the dust. Rather than install a new card, my BIL (who is a super computer guru) and I cabled the two computers together. That way, there's no hassle; they're both desktops, so it's not a problem. His computer is against one wall in the room and mine's against another wall. Drilled a hole in the floor behind DH's desk and inserted the cable from the basement. There was already a hole in the floor behind my desk for the cable internet.

Got on eBay and bought two 1 G RAM for his computer, too. They should be here by Thursday, so I'll be able to install those for him.

His computer is running very slowly. I've done scan after scan, with Kaspersky, with Malewarebytes, etc. and I can't find anything at all. The hard drive is less than half full, so that's not the problem. The drive has been defragged, so that's not it either. The only thing I can think of is RAM. Right now, it has 512 KB, so upgrading should help it out. It still won't be blazing fast, but the upgrade should help. And it's cheaper than buying a new computer....at least for now.

As much as I would like to have a new laptop, I can think of better ways to spend the money right now.

Computers....gotta love 'em!
