September 17 - 25, 2011 has been deemed Petfinder's Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week!

Don't forget to look at those adoptable pets who may not look like anything special, who may have different requirements than other pets. Look past the puppies & kittens to the adults, black cats/dogs, special needs pets, and senior pets. What makes them different makes them special.

AW MEGA vibes to these wonderful, special kitties. They are very beautiful and I hope that ALL of them find a good hearted understanding person
. There are people out there that willingly look for "special" needs kitties.

Personally I have never understood why black cats (and dogs?) are less in demand. I think they are gorgeous

I hope that this week is super successful

As the proud owner of three less-adoptable pets, I completely agree. My guys might be a bit busted around the edges, but they're some of the most special, loving cats.

Exactly. My house wouldn't be so full if others would "step up" & adopt some of the 'rough around the edges' kitties.

Sterling and Punkin were very adoptable. Ella and Flambe, not so much.

I went through a lot of that list, and it could apply to half the dogs and cats in almost any shelter, I'm afraid.
