It's with great sadness that I announce that Mackenzie the squirrel died suddenly last night or early this morning.
According to what I had read 2 days ago, death was not imminent as his poop hadn't turned white.
I think he got trapped under the wire floor at the bottom of the cage as that's where my husband found him this afternoon.
Neither of us worried about him as we both thought he was sleeping, but sadly that wasn't the case.
To be honest, he may have been better off in the wildlife rehab, he would have had more care, I had to get everyone else in the house to take care of him while I worked long hours.
