Vibes please- Kitty rescue in Brazil - hurt badly :(

Hi friends...
As I posted before, my mom rescues everything, from birds, to snakes, to monkeys, to...... kitties.
Today as I was doing my goodbye rounds (leaving tomorrow to Brasilia), I stopped by my cousin´s house as my mom went accross the street to check out a store. I said my goodbye, and went to the car.... only to see my mom crossing the street with a box on her arms with a kitty inside - The poor baby had been hit by a car and just left in front of the store with a bit of water
We decided to take him to the e-vet to see what could be done - thing is, I am going away tomorrow, and she is going out of the country tomorrow as well..... but we took him in regardless.
He was very skinny and flea-ridden, but looked to be 100% pure apple headed siamese - beautiful little boy
The vet felt him and he had a broken leg and a huge hernia - his muscles had split and his intestines were out of the cavity (or something like it)
Mom said there wasw blood when she took him and put him in the box to bring him to me, but there was no blood upon examination.
The vet said he would need an emergency surgery and a cast for his leg.
My cousin studies veterinary and lives nearby - he was the only one who could do something to this kitty, so I called his mom, who came in immediately and called my cousin, his son, on the spot.
The kitty has been taken to the University hospital of Veterinary for surgery and to have his leg repaired (and to be fixed) and he has also found a forever home if he survives (my cousin´s)
Please guys, please send vibes for this little one.... he is so sweet.... It is as though he was just waiting for us to get there to save him I have never seen a kitty in so much pain be so sweet, and so willing to get help....
All vibes in the World are appreciated....
Hugs,

Good news
He went to the University Veterinarian Hospital, where my cousin studies to become a vet, and had a full exam- in fact he has a broken leg and will most likely need a surgery to repair his herniated intestines and might need surgery on his leg as well, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. His vitals and temperature were great, and there were no life threatening injury - the vet assured my cousin that he could wait until tomorrow. Since it is an University hospital, they treat (surgically) only 20 animals a day, and go by order of urgency- although he was in quite bad shape, there were worst cases in there.
He is going to be the first patient tomorrow.
He has eaten a bit through a syringe and since he is going into surgery tomorrow, he is now only getting water via syringe every 1/2 hour. He is a total sweetheart... My cousin said he accepts everything without fighting... It's like he knows he needs help...
I was talking to my mom about exactly what happened, and she said she crossed the street to see a store- when she got there, she saw this little stray kitty looking at her and meowing with the saddest eyes... Just crying and crawling towards her- he couldn't walk
When she asked what happened, the girls in the store said he had been hit by a car either last night or that morning "so we put a little water for him"... My mom said there was a trail of blood around him... she asked them for a box, put him in, brought him to me, and we walked to the e-vet as I called my cousin who has a son graduating in veterinary. She happens to be the one I was saying my goodbyes to, and her son's teacher is the owner of the e-vet clinic.
I had already made the decision to put him to sleep (after the vet assessment, and getting to the conclusion mom and I couldn't do it) - sorry guys, shame on me, but I could not leave him to suffer without care and surgery, with me and mom out of the country- when my cousin came in and said "no! Knock on the vet's door, Caio said he will take him to the University Hospital and take care of everything". (Caio is her son, the vet-to-be). I ran to the room, didn't even. Knock- "is he still alive???" The vet said "yes"! Whew!
The vet had given him a shot of anti-inflammatory and a pain killer.
and...... he has now been named "Destiny"- has a wonderful forever home with my cousin and her son, a vet to be, both who are already completely in love with him, and is getting all the treatment he needs tomorrow, and all the follow up care too. This kitty fell in the right hand! My cousin works at home, and has a son who is a vet- both amazing people!
He is SO beautiful, SO sweet... The vet thinks he escaped a little while ago, as he is WAY too docile... He looks way too pure to me too- and I agree with the vet- I never seen a kitty so hurt and so sweet in my life!
He is just as cute and as sweet as he can be!
Please keep the vibes coming, I will keep you posted- it will be a long road for Destiny!
Oh, and yes, he is getting fixed tomorrow too

More and for Destiny. I hate to say it, but his getting injured has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him.

Destiny is right!

Well, I don't know how many of his nine lives that was, but he is one very lucky little boy.

More updates-
Tricia, I thinks so
He went to the vet today, had an ultrasound of his belly and an x-ray of his leg- I don't know of all the details, as I spoke to my cousin, the mom, her son knows more about what is going on. What we know is this: this baby was not hit by a car yesterday, by the look of his injuries, his vet said he has been suffering for days
His internal injuries are not deadly- there was a major bleeding, but it stopped. His biggest problem right now is his leg- it will have to be amputated
An infection has set in, so they could not perform the surgery today due to the risk of spreading the infection- they sent him home with antibiotics, are giving him water with a syringe and I instructed her to buy wet food so he doesn't get diarrhea. Here they don't feed canned food, but there is a vet/store nearby and she will buy food there. I also told her to give him a bit of yogurt. He is alert, happy, peeing, and on pain killers. He is also being protected by their dog, a Chow Chow who can now stay away the one who has been hard to keep away from is the other kitty, who is super curious, a 5mo. Old female siamese who keeps wanting to know who is there! I am not sure about FeLV here, but in any case I told her to keep them separated.
Anyways, I will keep you posted- this kitty found a wonderful home, where he will be loved and cared for like nowhere else!

Oh I'm sorry he's going to have to lose the leg, but from other rescue kitties here at TCS, we know they do just fine! Directing that the infection will clear up so he can have his surgery and get to living life!

Laurie, the leg is in such bad shape, I really do think the best thing is to amputate. The great thing is that this is the BEST place here- this is the state university, and since my cousin is graduating in veterinary, he will have the very best care at home too Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday

Just a quick update on little destiny!
He is doing great - very feisty! My cousin said the problem is to keep him quiet - you would never guess he is injured! He has been jumping on her bed and sleeping with her every night
It is not his leg that is broken, it is his hip, so the whole thing will have to be amputated. He is not eating dry food as he can't stand for a long time to hold his head... They don't really have canned food readily available over there, so she is feeding him baby food under my advice for now - no garlic, no onion. He is loving it, and has already put some weight in!
After the surgery they will start him on dry, slowly.
The surgery was postponed a bit as the vet went on trip, but the belly is no longer swollen, he doesn't have a fever, and the infection seems to be gone. He is just a happy kitten, full of life, starting on a new beginning now - once he has this surgery he will be an amazing kitty!
Here he is!!
