Hi everyone,

I just adopted a cat a week ago so I'm a brand new parent. He is approximately 3 years old. They named him Ozzie at the rescue shelter but I haven't decided if I will stick with it or not. I'm so indicisive though so I probably will rather than come up with a new name. He looks like a classic tabby but he actually has a bit of siamese mix in him too. You can't tell it by looking at him but you can tell by listening as he loves to talk and meow.

Thanks so much.

So far he's been a super cat who has immediately made himself at home. I did have to take him to the vet already (because I'm a first time parent and he had the sniffles), but he just caught something from the other cats at the shelter which was aggravated by the stress of the move. She just gave him a shot and he was doing better right away. The vet said he is a little bit overweight (i.e. more of him to love
), but I think just eating better food at his new home instead of being free fed with other shelter cats will help that. She also gave me a demonstration on cutting nails which I was nervous to do at first, so it was quite a useful visit. He's currently chasing his faux mice around like crazy and showing me that he still has lots of kitten left in him.

A very pretty kitty, and he looks like he would be great to cuddle with. I like those markings.

As a shelter volunteer, I have to say thank you for adopting, too.

Oh he's adorable... as for names its up to you, although some cats respong to a strong "ssss" sound in a name very well the "zzz" in Ozzy might do the trick. Then again finding a name that suits him better might be fun
