Need Many Prayers for My Family

Haven't posted much lately. We just cleared Hurricane Irene. Last Friday evening, my hubby fell on his back about eight feet from a ladder. He has a fracture in his lower back. We spent the weekend in two different ER's and hospitals. We are home and he is in a back brace and getting around with a rolling walker. I am learning how to be nurse. I have to nap when he does so I can keep going. He is taking pain meds, and a shot I have to give him every day to prevent blood clots. The surgeon said only maybe two percent chance he would need any surgery. We are very thankful. His sisters home was flooded nine and half inches from the hurricane. They were doing cleaning on Sunday. She fell and broke her shoulder in three places. Our daughter fell a week or so ago, broke her ankle and busted open the knee she just had surgery on. We are stressed. Please remember my family in your prayers and I thank you for it.

I will absolutely keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Use this time to slow down a little if you can and concentrate on all of the things that really matter. I am glad your husband, SIL, and daughter are okay and I pray for quick healing for them all.

Just wanted to post an update here about my family. Our daughter will be having her knee surgery on the 25th of October. My husband went back for a follow up to the back doctor today concerning his fall and back fracture. They took x-rays and said the fracture is stable, unchanged, which means it is healing. His instructons are continue to wear the back brace, no lifting or bending over, drive only short distances, and no work like mowing etc. We are very thankful the doctor thinks this will heal if he takes care of himself. Please continue the prayers for him. Thank you for doing it.

I just discovered this -- my gosh, what a lot of bad luck at one time! If karma is real, you're due for some wonderful things to happen to all of you soon. Good-health vibes on the way...
