Juno goes for her spay tomorrow...vibes please!

I am a nervous wreck! Most of my cats had to be spayed or neutered before I adopted them. Blue, Rex, and Chloe were already "fixed" when I got them. Momma went for her spay before I took her home from the shelter. Percy was neutered about a month ago...but we all know that neutering is so much easier on a cat than spaying!

Now I have bonded so strongly with our baby Juno and I am so scared she won't tolerate the anesthesia or that I will have a hard time keeping her still enough to recover from her spay. She loves to run and jump and play and I am not sure what to do with her while she recovers. I am just a wreck! Please send vibes our way if you don't mind! She goes at 7am EST tomorrow and I should be able to update on her condition around 6pm. The vet will call me before noon, as usual, to let me know that the surgery is over and how it went.

Thanks!

I'm sure sweet little Juno will do great! Holland was spayed when I adopted her, but she had a major dental procedure a year and a half ago, so I know what the worry is like.

I know this is a more stressful time for meowmy than it may be for Juno. It's normal to be nervous, but I sure she'll be OK.

I'm sure she'll be absolutely fine hun. I too, understand the worrying though! Lots of vibes for Juno's speedy recovery!

My foster kittens go in on Monday to be spayed/neutered. . .it is nerve-wracking! I'm sure Juno will be fine, and I'm sure my guys will be fine, but of course there's always some worrying.

If you're worried about her incision, cut the toes off a tube sock and put the whole thing on her. It'll bunch up around her tummy, but it will keep the incision clean and prevent her from nibbling on her stitches. I did that last year when Pixie pulled her stitches out, and it worked so well I think I'll do it with all girl kittens, just to prevent trouble.

If you trust the veterinarian that is doing the spay nothing is going to happen. I have "been the one to spay/neuter" all my personal cats as well as all my foster cats over the years.

I have seen it done literally thousands of times from working for veterinarians as a veterinarian technician. Or as working for shelters across the USA and being the one to "help the veterinarian". I say help cause I volunteered to help the vets and save money for the animal shelter.
