I wouldn't mind finding some teammates to help encourage, and support me.

Runkeeper is an app that uses gps to track your runs/walks/etc. and then you can post them on their main site, as well as on your facebook. Your maps are private unless you choose to share your course. It tracks your speed, average speed, elevation, current speed, and more.

Tis a really good app.
Inbox me if you want to become streetmates, or even if u just want to know more about the app itself if you've never heard of it.

Can you explain it a bit? The website has kind of no info.... unless I'm just not looking in the right places, which happens more often than I'd like to admit.
I don't run, but I do walk, and if I had something keeping track of how much I walk, it might give me incentive to walk more...

Inboxed cuz I dunno how much info I'm allowed to post here.

I walk as well, and yes, using the gps built into your phone, it tracks distance, speed, and even does a map. You can make "routes" around your neighbourhood, and tons of neat stats. It has really helped me increase my walking speed, and just challenge myself.

Just be sure your cell doesn't charge for gps usage.

I have runkeeper app on my phone, but I use the Cardio Trainer app. I'll look into changing though-I could use a teammate or 25.

The more the merrier and the more likely to succeed!!!

For the curious, here's an example of the data it collects...This is from my walk last night

Just completed a 2.11 mi walk with RunKeeper
Duration 0:31:53 | Calories Burned 238
Average Pace 15:08 / mi | Average Speed 3.96 mph | Elevation Climb 70 ft

** I do not agree with their calories burned, but it does give a guideline base for approx.**
