Business cards!

As most of you know, Dana and I foster many cats/kittens for the local shelter. There's been a couple of instances lately where we ran into people at the shelter who were looking there, didn't find the baby they were looking for there, but we mentioned we had fosters and they came out to our place and fell in love! Also, there is always the random conversation we have with people where we mention we foster for the shelter and people ask for our info in case they decide to adopt.

We were throwing around the possibility of getting business cards with all of my info on it to start giving to people. We would also give a bunch to the shelter so they can give them to people who may be looking for a specific cat/kitten. We could also leave them in the lunch rooms at work, and at random bulletin boards around the city, etc.

I ordered some last week and they arrived today! I just figured it might help get the word out, raise fostering awareness and hopefully help some of the fosters get adopted. What do you guys think?

Personally, I'd be wary of leaving a phone number or address and would just leave an email address to weed out the weirdos.

Awesome idea! I do the same thing from a nutritional perspective, and pass the cards out to everyone I meet who seems even a little open to the discussion.

From whom did you order your cards, Kailie? I've been making my own (awesome printer and nice cardstock) but I'm thinking about upgrading since cutting up the cards is becoming tiresome.

I only put my cell # (used for only this purpose and emergencies), my email and the web address to the Facebook page. I didn't put my address on there because my luck I know people would start dumping cats/kittens on me!

Thanks! Ive heard a lot of good about them. I just hope they can use my graphic. It's of my Allen and very similar to my siggy here and I'm awful partial to it.

Yeah, people would do something like that thinking they can let go of their cats without a guilt trip...
