Rescue has been gone for a couple of years now, and was only in my life for about 48 hours, but I would still like to share her story.
She was found in a Dahl's parking lot after a bad thunderstorm. She was wet and dirty. My mom brought her home for me knowing I wanted a kitten/cat that was a rescue and not from a breeder.
She was young, no more than 8 weeks old. A vet visit and round the clock care gave her some strength, but not enough to pull through.
I can still clearly see the look that was on my brother's face the night he walked into my work and told my manager that I needed to leave. My manager let me leave and my brother took me home to Rescue, who after a couple of hours of fighting for her life after a small seizure, had another seizure and passed away minutes later.
After an 18 hour shift a couple nights ago I found a kitten the same size as Rescue with thunderstorms rolling in. I now think I've been given a chance to make a difference in this ones life when a difference could still be made.
