Grizzly was away last night

We came home from our nephews birthday party last night to find Grizzly laying on the floor. When I picked her up she could not put any weight on her back legs. I took over a food and water dish which she didn't want. I checked on her several times-she purred when I petted her by wasn't moving.
We passed away shortly later.
We think she may have had a stroke?
She was 15 yrs young a sweet lady.

We will bury her by her lifelong friend Bobber.

Gail, I'm so sorry you lost Grizzly. It must have been a shock, but at least it was fairly quick. RIP, Grizzly,

Thank you all. Its been a rough year. First Bobber which we had been preparing ourselves. Then Nub-e just five weeks ago and now Grizzly. I noticed she was slowly losing weight this summer and she had lost her hearing. She wasn't herself this past week in fact Thursday she was laying in the corner of the living room which she never had done before. I'm thinking it was just her time to go.

We were talking this morning and thinking back. Grizzly and her sister Sierra (also a RB kitty) mother was Nala & grandmother was Rainbow. Rainbow also died unexpectedly I remember finding her in the back yard towards the veg garden looking like she was walking and fell over and died in that position so possibly genetic? Still seems sad not to find her sleeping on the sofa or wanting to go outside and sun herself on the walkway outside watching what was going on outside. She rarely went more than 10-20 feet from the house or patio anymore.

I'm so sorry Gail. It does sound like it might have been a genetic problem. But at least she didn't suffer. Of course, being so quick, it's such a shock, and that much harder for you.

Play happily with Bobber again, and give Nub-e a headbump, Grizzly girl.

Oh Gail I'm so sorry to hear this! It has been a rough year for you.

I know it's a small comfort to know she didn't suffer; but hard because you weren't prepared. It's always hard I know.

OH Gail . Yes, you have had a very rough year with these losses... I am so very sorry about Grizzly. She was well-loved and had a wonderful life with you. You are a wonderful meowmy to all of your kitties.

RIP Sweet Grizzly you will be missed.
