well I think my little boy has his first uti UGHHHHH. he went like normal this morning, but bout 10 min ago i heard him go again, and it was a normal sized clump, but then he was meowed a little bit and found him sitting on the carpet. so i thought ok his litter isn't clean,so changed it, and he jumped in but then out cuz he likes to play, but i noticed 2 little drops in the box after he jumped out and a little liquid on the lino by the box. I guess i will have hubby keep an aye on him today as i'm at work and check the litter.. but im guessing a vet visit tomorrow may be in order... No blood or anything but what else could it be.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If you see him strain with no out-put, cry in pain or become lethargic, don't wait until tomorrow, get him seen today. Males can block very easily, and once blocked, he will die within 24 hours. And the pain is excruciating.
I probably wouldn't wait until tomorrow in any case. UTIs hurt.
All paws crossed for him.

hes not lethargic at all, seems to normal in every aspect except the liquid that i saw. i had another box of litter down (completly fresh) and he crawled in there to play, his bum was hanging over the edge and thats when i saw the little drops on the floor. could it be that because this litter was fresh he wanted to pee and started too but then stopped? I am going to leave the info and visa with hubby today so just in case he needs to take him. now work is going to suck because i'll be worried all day...

I know how you feel, I hate the gnawing worry when you can't be there. But you have your husband watching out for him, so that's a good thing.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this! Sitting at work wondering and worrying about one's fur-kids just makes for a lousy day.

Well guys things seem to be ok. he usually pees once in the 8 hrs im gone and when i got home from work there was a decent size pee clump in the box. he seems happy and ok but i will definatlet be keeping an eye out for anything else. What i can't figure out is where did the little drops in the litter come from or the little drop ion the floor? just doesn't make sense.

I have one kitty who insists on using the litter box as soon as I clean it, whether she needs to go or not. Sometimes all she gets is one little tiny clump, hardly even worth getting in the box. Maybe he just didn't have more than a few drops in him at the time.

I'm glad he Cynder seems to be doing okay, put him on a canned diet, if he's not on one already, and of course keep a close eye on him and his potty habits.

I have seen ZZ hop in the litter box when I'm cleaning it and make just a small deposit. Or, if I'm in the bathroom with the litter box, he seems to want to "join the party." No other explanation I can find.
