My cat Stripey had some dental work done on Wednesday. He had a good clean and they had to take out one of his molars. Everything went fine but it took him about 40+ hours to properly come around (I got him home and he just slept and slept) He seems pretty much back to normal now, eating his favourite foods and playing with everything, plenty of purring!

When I first got him home his tongue was hanging out and one eye was sorta rolled back, but was told this was normal, I imagine I'd look the same if someone pulled my molar out :p. This is now back to normal but the same eye doesnt seem to be reactive. His pupil seems fixed wide open.

He doesn't have his check up until Monday so I was wondering, is this normal? He is 15 so I was aware the anaesthetic carried extra risks, could he have damage to his eye from it? He coordination seems the same as ever, so I'm wondering if it's just superficial.

If anyones experienced the same thing it would be great to hear any opinions or advice, our vets aren't open over the weekend so it's a little worrying.

Thanks in advance for any replies
