Between two nights a week of college and full time work I feel drained. In a way it's worth it because I am studying to be a vet tech and work with animals. I am glad to come home to my family and my two cats. They make me feel happy when I have my moments of feeling drained. They don't greet me everytime I come home but when they do I have that feeling of love from them.

It's amazing how therapeutic animals are. Even on my worst days, I look in my kitties eyes and I instantly feel better.
I was looking into vet college tonight but realized it requires a lot more than I am capable of.

I feel ya. I used to go to school 4 nights a week + online classes + FT work and it was killer. Now I go 2 nights a week + FT work, and while it's better, it's still rough! Coming home to kitty kisses makes it all better though They definitely are therapeutic.

I was looking into getting an degree in Vet Tech after I finish my BS in Chem/Bio, but we'll see how much I really wanna go back to school after I finally finish that

I'm glad to have my pets there for me to make me feel better. They are great for win you need your brain to rest a while from all that studying.

Honestly, I don't know how you do it. I have people at work that work full time AND do full class schedule and survive. I couldn't. I'll be honest with you, I honestly could not handle that schedule especially with a family. Heck, I probably couldn't handle that when I was single! You have my respect and my admiration.

What you are working towards is wonderful, and many for an easy semester and many headbutts and lovins when you get home every night.

I couldn't do that. If I did, I'd end up burning out and in the hospital. (I know 'cause it's happened to me once before.) As I've learned over the years (gosh! I'm only 28 and I'm talking like an old woman), the trick is to drop everything that isn't absolutely essential. I'm talking eating off paper plates you can throw away, cutting your hair short so you don't have to bother with it, dumping the make-up, buying a wardrobe of interchangeable separates (mine: Black pants; multicolored polo shirts). If you don't need to do it or you can find a way not to do it, then dump it. Otherwise your brain will start to blue-screen, and that is just not pleasant.
