Very cool, but I'd still be biting my nails off every time my munchkins climbed it. My two at least have zero fear, and I've actually caught Wesley once when I was standing under him trying to coax him into leaving the bug alone when he was trying to get a flying insect by the ceiling on his 8 foot tall window shelf. Sure enough he jumped, landed with poor footing, and flopped right onto me.

I would be, too. I used to work with a guy who let his cat go in and out of a skylight and play on the roof! That would have given me ulcers. The cat lived to a very ripe old age, though.

A lot of thought went into the ladders shown.

Those are some cool ladders. It's a great idea if your cat is indoor-outdoor. Nice to see people have put a lot thought into giving the cat a way in and out of its own accord.

WOW, very artistic in design too. I would be so scared my cats would fall
Presley especially, my little klutz
. For inside my house, I am thinking of doing those walkways and extending them from my wooden valances that my cats already enjoy in our family room. Thanks for sharing, gave me some ideas for ramps inside my home

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
The 'minimalist' one is similar to what my dad did for the family cats growing up. We also had a dog at any given time, so my dad built a platform in his shop (with storage for cat food and his own stuff underneath), and cut a cat-sized hole next to the human door. I may have a scan of a photo I took while the shop was still standing.

He put a few shelves along the outside leading up to the cat doorway. But they had to jump on the metal trashcans outside to get to the first step (the cans had mulch and stuff). Safe from small doggies (Mitzi was a Peke/Cocker Spaniel mix), and the food was out of the rain, as well as it being a good shelter for them.

Wow! Those are cool....but I'm not about to install one! I'd be so nervous watching them! Now my RB cat Tiger; she'd have done great with that!
