This month as i have posted was a long month with lots going on marriage, losing my job because i got married.
But i have scored my ultimate job...At a security company working in their kennels.
I love large breed dogs and this is perfect the pay kinda sucks to start but i know i will be truly happy at this job animals have always been my passion and being able to work with 22 of them daily is great.this company has 22 dogs 2 rottweilers,3 belgian malinois,17 german shepherds(my favorite breed).
I am soooo stoked for my first day tomorrow not sure iff ill even sleep tonight lol.

Congratulations!!! I would love a job working with animals even though it would surely pay less than I make now. I'm happy for you...and a teensy bit jealous! LOL!

Congratulations - that sounds like a great job for an animal lover!

This might interest you - the German police have pretty much phased out German Shepherds due to their price and health problems (mainly hip dysplasia) and replaced them with Malinois. I just read a German article with interviews with K-9 experts, and they agreed that German Shepherds were better for security work, and Malinois better for police work due to their superior sense of smell and all around health. I'd wondered about that, because I walk past some federal police kennels every day, and the number of German Shepherds has been dropping noticeably. They have a couple of Giant Schnauzers as drug dogs in addition to the Malinois.

Here's a short article in English: (German) Police ditching the German Shepherd for Belgian breed

Thanks so much for all the congrats....
It was my 3rd day and i can tell this is the job for me.Nothing like getting hugs from 70-100pound (31.8kg-45.5kg) dogs everyday and getting lots of kisses after they have eaten their raw fish or meat for the day.
I was talking to one of the head bosses today and she was really impressed how quickly the dogs have taken to me and there was a bit of talk about my future with the company and going through their training program to become a trainer or maybe a K-9 handler.
I have always wanted to be on the police force(K-9 division) but because of medical problems never happened,So maybe being a security K-9 handler is in my future.
