Is Anyone Making Signatures Besides Me?

It seems like a lot of signature requests have been coming in lately, and no one else is actively making signatures. I already have two requests for me personally, and I just can't find time to make everyone else a siggy. Where are all of the other designers lately?

I can try to make some tonight/tomorrow afternoon.... I just have to do it around work, dogs, cat and boyfriend, lol.

I'm just too lazy to clip out the cats. I do enough clipping paths at work, I don't want to do it on my own siggy! lol

HAHAHA! That is the whole reason I don't do siggys anymore. I'm sure there's a lot easier way than the way I do, too!

I just use the magnetic lasso tool in PS and feather it at 5px. The siggys are so small the you can't really see many mistakes in it, lol.

If the original picture of the cat has a different coloured background than the actual cat, it's super easy!

I use Gimp Smart Scissors which work really well! I'm sure they could be compared to the magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop.

The norm is 550 x 134. I know they give all the rules somewhere around here!

I do, haven't done any for quite a while, I look at the threads and look for/design a background and then I see one has already been made. I tried the magical lasso, didn't work too well with the picture I was using so I don't it the old fashioned way, it takes me around half and hour or sometimes one hour to create a signature.

I've done 3 sigs. Are the requests caught up-to-date?

I don't typically make sigs, but if a few more are needed to get caught up, I can find the time to make them.

I only made my own, its not fancy but it took me less than 10 minutes. The trick was finding 2 pics of my cats on the same, relatively plain background and then creating a banner in the same basic color. Layer the cats on top and erase the area surrounding the cats. It works better than lasso because you won't lose fine detail like whiskers.

I'm pretty sure that we're all up to date now! MiLu, I've actually tried erasing around pictures, but I always come out with either too little or too much erasing. It takes a steady hand! Usually signatures take me from 5-30 minutes depending on the design. I take longer because I procrastinate!

ETA: MiLu, I love your signature! You are obviously a very good photographer. The pic of Minka is gorgeous and he/she has beautiful eyes.

I think I'm going to make up a bunch of backgrounds before hand and then I can just crop the kitties and make a few adjustments with it... the background is what takes me the longest, lol.

All the backgrounds I have created were easily made, just using brushes and simple colours. If you have Paint Shop Pro (maybe Photoshop) you can add them to swatches or patterns

ETA: I am having problems with Paint Shop Pro at the moment, will try to get back to signature designing ASAP

However, you if see that the signature requests are behind, I don't mind helping out occasionally to get them caught up.
