Yup. Ask the vet when you get him in for the check-up. He'll need a check-up, of course. If he's old enough, you'll want him fixed and vaccinated...
I think he must have been a lost stray--maybe dumped as a kitten. I thought my cat Tiny was feral at first, too; but he warmed up to me so quickly that I realized that he must have lived with humans at least when he was little. So many people will get "cute" kittens and then dump them when they become not-so-cute. I think I know why Tiny was dumped; he had a habit of biting during play--I guess they let him play with their hands--and it took me forever to teach him that human skin was not a chew toy. Now he still mouths my hands, but he never bites down, and I figure it's a good enough compromise.
