Now, either you do organize help. It was a street thing in the town? Thus somebody at the towns technical authority, taking care about such.

Or, simply to saw the cat out. Get a metall-saw and just do it. Or, anybody with a saw and knowing how to use it...

A friendly police officer/constable you talk with may help, but I really dont think 999 would send a car... A friendly fire man would also be fine - they are used to help out. Try to phone the station of the fire brigade and talk with them.

If you cant do anything - help it go on. Not pleasant but better than leave it there for slowly dying. YOU found, YOU must help in some way.

Good luck!

Agreed. See if you can get that grate loose... Maybe there are bolts you can undo? Try cooking oil to make the cat more slippery. Surely there are people who would be willing to help? There are cat people just about anywhere, from the fellow who keeps cats to clear his place of mice, to the person who keeps a pampered cat as a beloved pet. The emergency numbers mostly worry about human emergencies; so maybe there's an animal control office.

But wear heavy gloves, big work gloves. The cat will be scared and will probably try to bite, and it could be feral and not used to humans. Don't put yourself in danger; cat teeth and claws can cause infection easily, so you need to prevent getting bitten/scratched.

At the worst, animal-control officers might be able to kill the cat so it doesn't have to die slowly.

If there is a owner to this grate, talk to him if possibly. But in an emergency you do have right to work on your own initiavie.

Saving lives goes before everything, in Koran, Bible and nowadays.

Good luck!

I removed the dead seen only.

you are right rosiemac. I should have tried more and ignore them.

what motivated me to stop and help it, ( beside its cuteness ) is that I wanted to the reward from GOD.

I am a muslim and our prophet "Mohammed" once said ((there was a big sinner "adulatory" women who sells her self for money, and has bad deeds, and she came to a well and had a drink since she was thirsty, after that not far she passed by a dog which seems very thirsty but couldn't reach to get a water from the well, she felt sorry for him and returned back the to the well and got some water but nothing to put the water in but her shoes and she did and walked pair footed to the dog and gave it to him, and allah announced to Mohammed that she is forgiven for all the before and after sins for the mercy she shows ))

WOW, no body is sinless, so I was wishing for even a fraction of that reward.

peace to you all.

That sounds like a good parable. I'm in the US and I'm a Christian, and we have stories like that ourselves. I remember one where Jesus reminded someone that, if your donkey fell into a hole on the Sabbath, wouldn't you get him out? Because caring about other living things is more important than following the petty little rules of life.

It makes me sad... it really does. But somehow, it's also a relief to know that the little thing isn't suffering anymore.

Would you be able to remove the Youtube video of the kitten stuck in the grate, because trolls who take great delight in animal abuse look for videos like that

All animals are God's creatures, and if you help them like you say, you will be rewarded
