Sometimes, she enjoys it and I can hear her purr. But after a while, she tries to grab it, brings it to her mouth and chews on the brush, so I stop and put it away. I'm afraid she'll chew the plastic off and swallow it.
Sometimes, I can't brush her fur for long because she tries to play with the brush, and other times I can. But I am wondering how long (minutes) is a good amount of time to spend brushing her fur and how often to avoid hair balls? What is your brushing routine?
Second, what kind of brush works best? Her previous owner said she used a brush with stainless steel pins, but the cat didn't like it, so she got us a brush with plastic pins which she seems to enjoy more. But her fur gets quite long, I think we need to give her a haircut soon.
