Why isn't litter clumping

I only buy Tidy Cat.

Beebas urine is not clumping...I know it's the litter and not him. It should clump even with water.

Has anyone ever had this? I am gonna have to dump it because of the amonia smell and put new in.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you didn't accidentally pick up the Tidy Cats non-clumping litter? Maybe there was a mistake made when they packaged it.

I think they changed their formula.. maybe its not clumping as it used to be?

or as suggested, grabbed the wrong kind? I did that once before

Gosh, I don't think I grabbed the wrong one. Its usually the 35lb or 40lb and I don't think they even make non clumping in the tubs, do they?

And there are two other boxes here where there is no problem with clumping and I usually distribute the litter between them. Although, maybe there was more good litter in the other boxes so it wouldn't be as noticible. Sometimes Beebs box gets kind of low before I get to add some.

If it's actually the right kind, call the customer service line for them (I'm sure you can find the number online) and tell them that it's not clumping. They'll should sent you a coupon for a new tub, or at the very least, tell their rep to leave a free bucket for you at the place you normally buy it.

Is his box in a humid location (bathroom or basement, etc.)? Humidity can do wacky things to clumping litter. Other than that, I can only think you got a bad batch. Try contacting the company and see what they'll do for you.
