We went to a friends house yesterday for a visit, it had been over a year since hubby and I had seen them. They have a lot of pets (dogs, cats and a parrot) and we had fun playing with them.

She was telling me a story about a cat that she rescued that was pregnant. It got really sick right after it gave birth and ended up passing away. She had another cat that was pregnant and all the kittens were stillborn.
That cat ended up nursing the kitten from the one that passed away. It was the most adorable kitten ever. She told me that I could take it home, but due to my allergies I had to say no. I have decided not to re-home my two cats, but did not want to add a third. The kitten decided it liked me and all day/night it wanted to sit with me. He is very tiny, but has been vet checked and is up to date on his shots. He could sit in the palm of my hand.
He is 6 months old.

It was very hard to say no to this adorable face.

Awww, he's a cutie! But he's not 6 months old
. Suppose they forgot his birthday? Or did you mean 6 weeks old? (although he looks to be about 10 weeks old to me, unless you have tiny legs!).

Yeah, kittens are sure charmers. Hard to say no to that kind of face.

No he really is 6 months old. I remember her posting about him on facebook quite a while ago, I just didn't realize it was the same kitten until she told me.

Percy was that size at 8 week old! I bet that kitten doesn't weigh over one pound! Now Percy is 6 months old and he weighs 6 pounds!

My goodness, he certainly is undersized. I hope he's developing normally. I had an undernourished litter I took in, and they were quite small--8 ounces at 8 weeks! But they were 4 pounds at 6 months, when they were spayed/neutered (that little guy doesn't look more than a pound or 2). And now at age 2 they're normal size (8-9 pounds). I hope he catches up, too! He's a mini-cat!

You don't sound like you've really made up your mind, I wonder if you're hooked, I would be.

I bet my Christy was that tiny when she was that age. She's still kitten-sized, to this day--about the size of a six-month-old--but healthy as anything. I guess the little one had a rough first few weeks, what with his momma being so sick when she had him. But even small cats can be healthy, and this one looks just fine. I guess he'll be Christy-sized when he's grown... seven pounds, or so.

I have a cat that stopped growing at about 5 months. She is about 5-6 pounds and she is over 6 years old now. I'd be surprised if this kitten got any bigger than a few pounds full grown.

Trust me, I want that kitten. A lot of what stopped me is my puppy. I have an 11 month old lab/shepherd puppy that plays rough and I didn't want her injuring that tiny kitten.

If anyone is interested in this kitten that lives in Ontario (my friend is close to London), she is looking for someone to adopt it. She loves every animal, but she has a lot of medical problems plus has developed an allergy to cats. Her doctor has told her that it would be best for her health to re-home her cats. She is keeping a couple of them that are older and she has had for a while but has decided to re-home any kitten. This is the last kitten she has. For her, there is no other option as she can't just take allergy pills or get shots.

What an adorable kitten!
But it's so hard to think of him as being six months old. Does the vet know why he has remained so small?

I didn't believe them that it was 6 months old at first until both of the people who live in the house separately told me.
The vet isn't sure why he is so small.

I hope he can find a good home. He is so playful and he loves dogs. She is raising puppies right now and the kitten kept going in the puppy pen and playing with them.
