It looks like you're having a terrific time (and your grandmother also looks terrific for her age). The picture of the cashew fruit is really interesting - I've only seen the nuts in stores, and had no idea how they grow.

Tricia - OMG, grandma is doing amazing

It was sad and funny last year on her brother's b-day - all her surviving sibblings were there, much younger than her - all in wheelchair.... She walks normally at 98 - she proceeds to point at all of them and says "you see there: I am way better than all of them put together!"
she cracks me up!

On another note: people are flipping off over my e-cig here! everybody wants one!!!! I could open an export business!

Looks like you are having a great time! I'm not a nature lover and my idea of getting back to nature is opening my apartmen window, but I could seriously get used to waking up with the scenery in your pictures... .minus the big spiders and snakes of course!

Hey everyone!
My goodness, I think I will need a serious diet and another vacations when I get back to the US - people keep feeding me this delicious food (well, everything here is to die for, really) and I have not stopped for a second yet!
I am about to go with a group of cousins to the little waterfall in my momâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s property for a day of fun and....... more food (shrimp) and beer - how not?!

Here is me, my mom and my dad - he is a funny guy, but hates taking pictures unless it is comic pictures!

This is actually pretty cool - I studied with this girl, on the same class (In Brazil you do not changes class rooms, the teachers come to you) from the second grade until the last year of high school - I had not seen her for 20 years, then met her again here, finding here again through facebook!

My mom and I....

Anyways,
I havenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t been good with pictures - I will try to get some more - my momâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s house is amazing! She built around the trees to not cut them down in the forest.
It is really quite neat - I will get some pics of the trail - will also get some nice pictures of the capital, Brasilia, where I was raised - it is a nice city -
Hugs to all..... gotta go now, some nice shrimp and cold beer await for me!

Carolina, I would love to see pictures of your folks' house, from the outside (all sides), inside, etc.

Also, on the cashew...isn't the shell of the nut like poison ivy, causing a rash if it is touched or something? Seems like I remember hearing that or reading it or something.

Mike, I took a bunch of pictures of the house, of different angles, the view, from the first and second floor... I will post when I get back to my computer- its pretty awesome!
About the cashew- the nut shell, when raw, if you bite in, the yes... I think there is an oil that is like that. But you don't bite in it ;-)
Cashew fruit also is one of the worst staining fruits ever- you have to be extremely careful with your clothes.... Aside from this risk, it is a safe fruit.... It is delicious to sit around a fire pit toasting fresh nuts! Yummmmmy!

Hey Mike - I looked it up - the raw cashew nut (the outside "case"), if it touches your mouth, can kind of burn your lips, but not really your skin....

Just got home... The trip back was brutal, but I am very sleepy so I will get into it tomorrow...
All is well aside from a leak in my storage closet
and the breakes on my car gone really bad - coming back to reality is not going to be so fun!
Kitties are doing fantastic though

They all recognized me immediately and as always
Kelly
Did an amazing job taking care of them - they are not stressed at all, just loving and happy and being their regular sweet selves from minute 1 I've been here.
Bugsy has a dirty butt as he has been a bad boy crossing over to Gracies room to get to her food

Hope also figured away to get into Lucky's food station
I guess I have smart kitties that won't go hungry

They are doing awesome and it's been a HUGE relief to come home to healthy and happy kitties after 2 weeks solid - gotta love having my angel Kelly!
I'll be traveling pretty much every week now, and after this trip, I know she can deal with it all - she is my guardian angel!
Gotta cuddle with them now - I will go into my trip back nightmare tomorrow, and post some pictures too - this vacation was THE vacation of alifetime - I had the time of my life, it was the most special time I ever had in there.... I enjoyed literally every minute - literally, round the clock. It was unforgettable!
Hugs,
Me
