Hi all

Hope everyone is well. Some of you may know I have bunnies.I love all kinds of bunnies but have a soft spot for rex's they are from the hare family and their fur feels like velvet. My rex passed away quite a while ago and I've always wanted another one.Well I went to the pet shop a couple of weeks ago to get some bunny food and they had some free bunnies, they give them away when they get too big and people don't tend to want to pay money for the older ones just the cute babies.I asked the lady what free bunnies they had and she showed me,they had a pure rex,I said oh my gosh that bunny is beautiful,if it's a girl I will take her,I can only have girls as the only male I have is neutered and I do not want baby bunnies.
The lady looked and yep def a girl,we called her Jessica and she has settled in really well and gets on well with the other bunnies. My hubby is making me a new rabbit enclosure in a few weeks, one with a giant run and house (I can't wait).Well imagine my suprise when I went to feed the bunnies this morning and I looked in the house downstairs and there are baby bunnies!!!I think there is 7,maybe 8,still some bits left that indicate they were either born last night or this morning.I didn't want to touch them too much incase Jessica got upset but they all look healthy and were squeaking. It never clicked that all the "free bunnies were mixed together" They were all rex's so these babies will be pure rex, they are sooooo cute but I'm in shock
A nice suprise but I've got to re-home them when they are old enough otherwise I will be over run with bunnies.I will take pics of them when they get bigger.xx

I'm not sure I understand this part, maybe it was a typo?
A neutered male can't make babies, so it wouldn't matter what gender of bunny you adopt.

Because presumably her females aren't spayed so if she got another male she'd have to have him neutered and wouldn't be able to put him with the other rabbits for a while or there would be babies. . .I'm guessing.

Haha, that is a surprise! I guess she really is a female
. Be sure to post pics. . .and remember to remove the boy babies before they get big enough to cause an epidemic of baby bunnies!
