Purring all the time

Does your cats purr all the time??? Just wondering, as our cat does this. She has ever since we got her. She ended up at our house while we were building it. She adopted us.

Anyways even when I first took her to the vit, he had a hard to listening to her heart. She was purring so loudly and with some "tricks" he used to make her stop it didn't work. He finally was able to hear her heart. LOL

Anyways, very now and then she will be "quite" for a little bit then back to purring.

Picasso purrs a lot.. and loudly. Every time I touch her, she's purring!! Her purrs are even louder than her meows.

Monet isn't a loud purr'er, but I do feel him purr at night

Olivia did that--she's the cat I rescued last year, not one of my permanent kitties, and is living at a no-kill now. You walk into the room, she purrs. You touch her, she purrs louder. You come in carrying food, and you'd swear somebody was riding a motorcycle outside. Despite her age (she's anywhere from six to ten), I think she may have a decent chance of adoption because of that purr.
