... it's a catten!
I thought I made up the neologism myself, but I guess not: There's a word for the cat that's young and playful and a little silly, but not quite a kitten anymore. We can stop calling them "adolescent" and "juvenile" and sounding like biologists when we talk about our frisky little half-grown cats--they're simply cattens!
