Today I had a mole remove from shall we say a rather delicate area Now I don't know what is worse the mole hurting before removal or the removal of the mole! Jeez I think I was better off just keeping the mole

OUCHIE! I've never had one removed, but Mom has had quite a few taken off. She said that worst part of it was the numbing stuff.

Delicate area, eh? Double OUCHIE!

Aww *hugs* I have one under my arm that just kind of hangs there (not alot) but sometimes if I rub it or something it hurts.. I dunno if I'd get it removed though.. kinda scary! Did they laser it off or what?
Pretty soon it won't hurt anymore and then you'll be glad you had it done. Hang in there sunshine!

The Dr. gave me a shot to deaden it and that hurt like L until the stuff kicked in, then she took a razor blade pulled the mole up and sliced it off right under the mole on the good skin. I always thought that they froze them off but not my Dr. no she had to shave it off I am a whimp when it comes to pain anyway.

The ones my Mom had were kind of like Sicy's. I think their term is called Skin Tags. But they shot each mole and then took scizzors & snipped them off! I'm not sure how many she had taken off, but it was close to 15 of them!

I know how you feel. About 14 years ago, I had a wart burned off of a "delicate area". Was doing fine, until the anesthetic wore off, halfway through my 16-mile drive home!

Well day 1 after the removal was a bit painful to say the least. Finding a comfortable postion today has been an impossiabilty but I did make it through. The worst part was trying not to show pain when dealing with my clients today.

I know...I know suck it up and quit crying about it. Sorry just had to whine a little

I don't think anyone here would tell you to suck it up and quit crying. It's got to be painful. I'm amazed that you went to work. Are you nuts girl??

Well, I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day for you.

I'm sure that was painful! I had a mole removed from my face after it changed shape and color. They gave me a shot before doing it to numb it but it was not wholly numb when they started cutting it. Boy let me tell u, i screamed bloody murder! Luckily the pain went away in a day so u'll feel better hopefully by tmr.

Also had to have two BIG lumps removed from my left breast within two years! First lump was the size of a baseball. Dr couldn't believe I didn't notice it when I showered. I just thought it was tissues or something. How dumb can I be!? Grin. Blondiegirl, I know what u mean about overdoing it and trying not to show that u are in pain- I was very very DUMB. The day after surgery I went and interpreted for a deaf/blind guy at a conference ( to interprete for a deaf/blind person is the same as what u see with Helen Keller- u sign, the deaf/blind person has his/her hands on ur hands as u sign.) Well, I didn't think or realize that as I sign, I'd be using breast muscles and his weight caused me to use more muscles and I was taking pain killers so the pain was not noticeable until after I overdid it. Guess what happened!? I developed a blood clot, my breast swelled almost double in size, it was black and blue from shoulder blade to stomach. I suffered PAIN for over a year after that. 2nd lump was the size of a small lemon (guess better than baseball? )AND I took it very easy that time!!! Luckily both lumps turned out to be benign - different things but not cancerous. Now I have a BIG PHOBIA of drs and have not gone back for breast checkups because I KNOW they will want to cut me open again! NO THANK YOU!
I don't know why I shared this- maybe to help u feel better?! Grin. Hang in there...

I've had two large moles removed from my face: right cheekbone and left side of my nose. They both started cracking and bleeding and, living in southern AZ, I'm skin cancer conscious. Fortunately, both were clean and the scarring is minimal.

The one on my nose was the worst. I was unable to sit still, to have the Lidocaine injected - my nose is very sensitive. Dan (my PA) froze it with liquid nitrogen and then injected. Two stitches and a round Bandaid and I was out of there.

Unless someone looks really closely, they can't see either scar. If they had been dirty, more extensive surgery would have been needed and I would have gone to a plastic surgeon for that. I do have some vanity!
