Just got done watching a three-hour documentary on Winston Churchhill. It was pretty good--just too L O N G.
I was really pleased to hear (during the last 34 minutes) that he was an avid animal lover. Had a dog named Rufus--a red poodle, a lot of tropical fish he would talk to AND his favorite--A cat named Jock. He couldn't sleep unless Jock was along side him in bed. At mealtime he would send servants out to find Jock because he had a place at the table for him!!! Can you imagine that dinner conversation??? Heads of State, Members of Parliment...and Jock!!!!
Does anyone have any trivia or interesting stories to share about famous cat lovers..or haters?? Not vicious haters, I mean I know that Napoleon was deathly afraid of cats and wouldn't leave his tent if he even thought there was a cat outside of it...

Hemingway was a cat lover and he was particularly fascinated by polydactyl cats. Their are a number of admiring quotes about cats from Mark Twain but I don't know if he had cats as pets.

Well, he's not really famous, but Dan Harmon is the creator of my favorite TV show ATM (Community) and these pics are on his tumblr page. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I just found it TOO cute!

Caption from Dan: "Warmest spot in the house."

Caption from Dan: "Lazy toothless Sunday." He has a toothless cat like me!

Caption from Dan: "Every morning."

Not his cat, but I love the caption he added-

Caption from Dan: "A cat doing a Dan Harmon impression."

Mark Twain liked cats, and had many pets.
