Let's get our rivalries going! (But keep it nice of course. Hi there, mods! )

For me it's all about the PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!!

I am especially a fan of #34, Rashard Mendenhall, and #43 Troy Polamalu.

What about you? ...

Goooooooooooooooo Seahawks!!!!!!!

My heart lies with baseball, but once the Series is over, I cheer for the BRONCOS!! I'm a second gen Denver native, and even though I didn't really get into football until I was in college, I was born and raised blue and orange. It's bad enough that I can take or leave football, if I ever cheered against the Broncos I'd be disowned.

ETA: Anna, the Steelers were always my dad's second favorite team. He went to CU, and for a long stretch, Pittsburgh had a lot of ex-Buffs on the team. We always called them CU East.

NY J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!

We are all huge fans! Today is Fan appreciation day at Hofstra, it's SO much fun, and we're going to bring my 5 year old for the first time. My older sons are already up and getting their jerseys out and hats ready. We have a white JETS football made for autographs, and my sons are also ready for the annual picture with the JETS FLIGHT CREW

LET'S GO JETS!!!

DH is and always has been an Eagles fan. The Seahawks are a close second.

Me? I don't think it's possible for anyone to care less about football than I do. I'm always glad when the season is over and I get my husband back.

JETS training camp was cancelled for family day today. This rain and nasty weather is killing me.

I'm a Broncos fan, and I still think we need John Elway back as QB. I finally saw my first Broncos game last year- in Denver- and it was 1 of the whopping 4 games they won last season, and they won BIG!! I'm not a crazy crazy nutcase fan, but I am very much a fan. And I HATE the Raiders. Should be an interesting first week MNF! There's a cool divey bar near us that has all the games on, but there are way too many scary Raiders fans who go there, so I am going to either watch at home or go someplace else. Oh, Ishould say though, I have a few Raiders fan friends, one of whom gave Genever a Broncos collar and me Broncos earrings a few years ago. One of the very few unscary Raiders fans I've known.

My mom is a Seahawks fan- she is crazy. Since she lives in PA (Eagles country- we both HATE the Eagles), she goes to a local sports bar to see the Seattle games, and she brings all her gear with her. She has this little Seahawks mouse figuring that was actually a tree ornament, and a tiny Seahawks mug, and she wears her blue and green beads, jersey, hat, and maybe something else, I forget, but she has the bartender fill the "Little Guy's" mug with beer too, and he gets to drink when they score, and at the half and at the end. Yes, this happens for real, I am not making this up, and the bartenders quickly learn. She said someone recently called it her Traveling Seahawk Voodoo Alter. My mom is a nut, but huge sports fans usually are.

Oh, and because of the Superbowl in... 2006 maybe? where the Seahawks lost to Pittsburgh because of BAD CALLS all over the place (and Steelers fans agreed), I'm not allowed to like the Steelers. I don't particularly care about them either way, but mom says no!

Raiders fans ARE scary, but we don't see many of them out here. Thank goodness...LOL!!!
Your mom sounds like my kinda woman, Yes we huge sports fans are a little "touched". I have a Jets Jersey that I MUST wear every sunday for the game. I have removed it from the dirty laundry just before kickoff because it's JUST THAT IMPORTANT.

I remember rooting for the Seahawks. I do not like the Steelers, and frankly, it was good to see the hawks in the big game (since the Jets weren't there!)

We East coast people are really good about getting the hate on for the other east coast teams. Don't get me started on what I feel about Tom Brady and his Patriots. Hate doesn't cover it.

The Jet's v Giants is this weekend, if the stadium doesn't blow away...it's gonna get really ugly.

My SIL hates Tom Brady & Philip Rivers (San Diego) SO much, I love watching football with her & my brother because any mention of EITHER of them sends her into a rant about whiny cry-babies who think they're so great. It's awesome.

From before I could remember, my dad had this Budweiser can that had been misprinted so if you put the pop top facing up, the logo & words on the can were upside down. He would always put that can, and an empty bottle of Orange Crush, on top of the TV whenever the Broncos played. After the Broncos won the Superbowl in '98 and went back the next year, my brother insisted that everyone sit in the SAME PLACE they had the year before (we usually do Superbowl parties at my parents' house, with the same people every year).

Yes, my family is crazy.

Yeah, Philip Rivers needs to get over himself. I don't like him either. Tom Brady is pretty, so I forgive his faults.

However, even as Broncos fans, they've got to add Jay Cutler in the list of Drama Queens/crybabies... He's ridiculous. And poor Kyle Orton got the shaft in that deal. I'm glad that he's getting another chance to start this year, though. Brady Quinn shouldn't get to be 2nd string though, Tebow deserves that much at least.. we'll see what happens.. Heck, i'll be happy if they win anything this year. (again, I am a big fan, but a realistic fan. )

I completely agree. Kyle Orton has been a great sport the past several years, and I'd take him over crybaby Cutler any day. Nobody I know was overly upset when Cutler left...

We do the same things-my family is fanatical, but we do appear normal to the public.

I pull out all the stops for the superbowl every year, wonder what everyone will do in 2014 when the game is here and we're there....I hope....

GO COWBOYS!!!

Now that Romo's married, maybe he'll be able to concentrate on football. If the defense can get their act together, we might have a decent chance this year.
