Hi everyone! I joined a few days back looking for answers about some kitties I'm fostering. We have a total of 20 cats! Of those 20 cats 12 are ours. Of those 12 only 1 is mine. My husband and I live with my mother in law because of the tough times with the economy. Let me tell you about the kitties.

Taz(Female)- Is the oldest she is 14 years old.

Shadow(Male)- Is a Maine Coon and is a large kitty. He is 10 years old.

Zoe(Female), and Elmo(Male)- Are brother and sister. Zoe is the lovey one and will take all sorts of loving from anyone, she doesn't care what kind of attention she gets as long as she gets it. She's my tv watching partner. Elmo is a clown. He'll be purring up a storm but playing at the same time.

Kitty Face aka Candy aka Fitty Fo- Is a Calico Is a pain in the rear end. This is my husband's favorite. She comes in and sleeps with us most nights.

Xena and Xadia- These two girls I don't know that much about they are locked up in my Mother in law's bedroom because they just don't know how to get along, with the rest of the kitties.

Bunny- What to say about her. The only time I get to pet her is when I have a treat in hand. My mother in law found her outside last winder as a 3 month old feral kitten and we where in a blizzard and she couldn't leave it outside.

Bug- Was a feral kitty that my mother in law brought in last winter as well. She was also feral.

Bob- Bob is Bug's baby, he was 5 weeks old when Bug and Bob came in.

Nikki- Also a feral kitty. She has been inside since spring and is slowly starting to like us.

Emily aka Monkey- This is my baby. She is 5 months old. We got her when we stilled lived in Oregon but moved back to Iowa because of the economy. She is a riot!! She loves to play! She has learned how to fetch, and sit lol!!

Now for the foster kitties

We have 8 kitties we are fostering. This old lady had an apartment here in town and she was evicted because of the mental issues she has. She left behind 12 cats when she was evicted and my mother and law, her friend, and I took in these cats with the intention of taking them to a B.V. Cat and Dog Rescue League which is a no-kill shelter.

We have Cindi and her 5 kittens. Cindi is a tuxedo, and I'm not sure how old she is. She is a sweetheart. The 5 babies I have name Anabelle, Snowflake, Gracie, Sadie, and Tyke.

Tyke is the runt of the litter and scared of everything, but is slowly getting over that, and is becoming more confident when he is out and about with us.

Gracie is just the sweetest little thing. Like Tyke she had some issues of fear but she has long forgot them. She will follow me around the house if I let her.

Anabelle- Anabelle is the sweetest little girl! She's also the largest. She loves to roll over on her back and have you rub her belly.

Sadie- Looks like Mom she is a Tuxedo as well. And what a spitfire personality for a 5 week old kitten. She will follow me around the house and hiss at the big cats. And the big cats just go running. Its quiet comical.

Snowflake- Snowflake got her name because I orignally thought she was a boy. She was the loudest out of all of them. And has a good set of lungs on her. When the kittens arrived all but her had her eyes open. So because of how loud she was. She was named Major Pain. So after a couple weeks I decided to check sexes again and sure enough its a girl. So I couldn't figure out what else to call her, so since she's mostly white with just a couple of grey spots she go named Snowflake. Just like Sadie she has no fear and will make the big kitties run. We may keep her.

The kitty in the pink room, I have not named. I also haven't spent much time with her. I helped my mother in law get her in a crate to be spayed when that was done she left me a 10 inch scratch on one arm. Other than that, the only interaction I've had with her is her hissing at me, and the one time I was able to pet her she batted at my arm and left a 6 inch scratch on it. Which is still healing. I just don't know what to do with this girl. When she goes to BV here in a few weeks, and maybe they will be able to help her out of her fears.

And then there is my Johnny! I want to keep him! He is such a sweet boy! Scared of everything outside of the bathroom. But if your in "his space" he's the sweetest boy in the world and not scared of anything! He will rub up against you and purr, and look at you with those big green eyes. I've gotten some hints on another forum section, on how to help him out with this.

Well that basically sums up our house. No we do not breed kittens. All the cats except for Emily and the rescue kittens are spayed/neutered, and UTD on shots.
