Ok, if you guys didnt see the email they sent me in my Zoey video thread I am going to post it for you, and my response to them (lol) and then their response to me.

Dear Sicycat,

Your ImageStation account has been deactivated. This is most typically because there is unacceptable content in your account or you have created links on other websites that directly connect to files stored in your account. Please review the albums and Storage Bin in your account for the following situations and make corrections within 24 hours after reactivating your account:

Either,
1) Your account contains material that is not acceptable on ImageStation. Please review the sections titled "Member's Privileges And Obligations", "Member Content; Member Private Area; Community Area", and "Responsibility for Member Content"; and "Code of Conduct" in the ImageStation Membership Agreement. You will find a link to the Membership Agreement (http://www.imagestation.com/member/agreement.html) at the bottom of every ImageStation page.

Or,
2) You have placed links in other websites, forums, or chat groups to files stored on ImageStation. While it is permitted and encouraged to link directly to albums stored on ImageStation it is not permitted to link directly to the individual picture and video files.

To reactivate your account:

After reactivating your account, please remove all content that does not conform to the guidelines. We will review your account content 24 hours after you reactivate your account. All the images in your entire account will be deleted without further notice if any content does not conform to our guidelines. You will not be able to retrieve your images after we delete them.

Please follow these instructions to reactivate your account. If the following line is "active" in the email message (usually displayed as the color blue, like a link on a web page) just click on the line and your account will be immediately re-activated. If the link is not active, you will need to copy this line into the address bar of your browser.

Then I said:

This is complete crap. Why can you direct link pictures but not videos???
I know, I'm not very diplomatic

Then they said:

We do not allow links to be placed in other websites, forums, or chat groups
to pictures or video files stored on ImageStation. While it is permitted and
encouraged to link directly to albums stored on ImageStation it is not
permitted to link directly to the individual picture and video files. There
is a provision in the Membership Terms and Conditions that prohibits this.

For us to continue offering our free storage and sharing of pictures, it's
important that members use our website for this sharing. In exchange for
using this free service to bring guests to our site to share pictures, we
get the opportunity to offer revenue-generating products such as prints,
gift items and Sony products. I'm sure you can understand why it is
necessary that we insist that sharing of pictures and video clips using our
servers takes place on our website.

If you know of someone who is linking to images, let us know and we'll take
a look at the situation.

Please contact us at [email protected]
<mailto:[email protected]> if you need more assistance or have
any further questions about using ImageStation.

So just a heads up.. watch out guys. Of course I would never report anyone,
but I think you guys should be aware that they're being big jerks right now.

I was afraid this would eventually happen. I need to find somewhere they allow remote linking. Anybody have ideas?

You can still attach a photo to the forums from your computer.

Loved the last part of the Imagestation email:

Rat out your neighbour so that we can deactivate them as well!

Thank you for using Imagestation!

I've linked so many I can't even count them. I guess I have to start attaching Nakita pics.

Actually, I do understand the whole thing. I'm just miffed because I have way to many linked images I now have to move.

I really don't know of any sites that approve of direct linking to individual pictures. I can understand Imagestation and other sites being concerned about the amount of bandwidth that gets used up, but I also don't always have the time to stop and resize pictures so I can attach them here. Soooo.... I just don't share many pictures.

I seriously wouldnt bother moving them if you have already linked them.. I mean, I'm thinking they just nabbed me because video files are huge, and it probly showed up as sucking up all their bandwidth or something.

Plus if no one else has got a warning..... ?? Ugh.. they are so lame!!

They should have different levels of service available to people: for free, you can upload a certain number of images per month, for a small fee you can upload more, for a higher fee, unlimited uploads...
Just a thought. This way, they can make money and still have free service too.

Sicy, it's a plot against Zoey. I think you should do a photoshopped image of Godzilla Zoey trashing imagestation LOL.

In otherwords, what we have been told to do we can't. Well, I tried to link the album once and it wouldn't do anything.

So now what, I loose all my pics on there?

Actually, I think my sig pics were linked.

Hermoine,
I think that in order to view the albums on imagestation, you need to have an account there. So people who have signed up, can sign in and see your albums. Which is fine - I just think it's a big pain in my bottom, but that's just my opinion.

I don't believe your photos there will disappear though.

And your signature is linked, but it's not linked from imagestation.

I really like your idea Sue!

Sicy, awhile ago, one of the other members gave me a special code that allowed me to post Snowball's signature picture on another site (not Imagestation) and then link it to TCS without the other site's knowledge. But that picture is GONE now! It looks like I got caught too.
