I made a pizza yesterday for dinner that turned out surprisingly good. In fact, more than good. I'm definitely going to make it again!
I bought the Kraft store bought pizza kit. Comes with dry mix for the dough, sauce, sprinkle cheese and herbs.
I made the dough. Spread the sauce, added the herbs and sprinkled the cheese.
I topped it with the following:
Browned ground beef that I seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and seasoning salt... all to taste.
Sliced black olives
Sliced red onion
Sliced Tomato
Chopped fresh dill
Sliced canned artichoke hearts (well drained)
Pineapple chunks
Crumbled feta cheese
A little shredded mozzarella cheese (you can add as much as you like, but I'm lactose intolerant so I only used a little)
Bake about 13 minutes or so at 425 deg until the cheese melts and the crust is done.
Note: If you don't want to buy the kit, mix your own dough but put some dried oregano into the crust mix. For the sauce use plain tomato sauce and mix in some onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano and basil (all to taste). For a twist, add a minch of curry or thyme, or chili powder.
