Here's Sally, making herself so pretty. She's my pride, my love. To think that there was a time that I was considering giving up on her. I adopted her from an animal shelter as part of a "buy one, get one free" deal. My first purpose was to get a tabby for pest control. When I learned about the "buy one, get one free" deal, I thought "why not?". So, among the available animals, I chose this short-haired female cat, thinking they would get along. They seemed to manage together at the shelter... Boy was I wrong. The male had already been spayed, so I took him home first. A few days later, I got a call to tell me that Sally was ready to be picked up. I picked her up and brought her home. As a precaution, I kept them separate, the male inside the house and Sally outside. Lucky for the male, there was the door between them. As soon as she saw him or smelled him, she went into a fury and kept hitting the door to get to him. If she could have laid a claw on him, she would have killed him, the poor thing. I had to take the male back to the shelter. What a change since then, she turned to be the sweetest cat I ever had.
