HELP cat only pees on boyfriends things :(

Please give any advice if you can.
I have a female tabby cat who is just over a year old, her name is Clementine.
She only pees on my boyfriend things (ex. pillow, shoes, his side of the bed :-{ )
I am not too sure what is triggering it. I have taking her to the vet and she do not have a urine track infection. She does it every few weeks or so. I am sure it is not a spray because it is a puddle of pee. It is causing conflict between me and him I would like to fix the problem. I understand his frustration with her peeing on his things, but I do not what to give up my cat, she is very affectionate and playful cat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Ps the is neutered

hmm, so - how is the boyfriend treating her when you're not around? just joking, sort of - but I am thinking about if she does have fear of him for some reason ????

or is she stressed around him?

guess the boyfriend has just gotta go --- joking again! (well, maybe not. )

as you can tell, I'm no help - but just had to post something to get this thread going

Maybe he's bringing some sort of scent or fragrance that might be triggering her need to pee?? what sort of shampoo does he use? does he work in an area that might be bringing in a scent with his clothing ???

Here's an article in the Behavior Forum: http://www.thecatsite.com/Behavior/5...Territory.html

I Googled a few things - there's a ton of info, but here's a sample:
Why Does My Female Cat Spray in the House?

Is the boyfriend new? This article talks about the new and unknown.
A Fear of the Unknown

Unlike male cats, female cats often feel threatened by new ‘entities’ within the house. This means that new pets, people, babies and even furniture can cause distress, and this is especially so if the cat has had a set routine for a good portion of its life.
I know you said she wasn't spraying - but, if she's healthy maybe what she's doing could be identified as spraying?

Is it not possible to move the things out of reach of the cat and shut the bedroom door at all times so she can't get to his side of the bed?

Do not even think of giving up your cat, especially if she was there first!

I agree though, the best (and probably quickest) solution is to restrict her access to the things she likes to pee on.

That said, I had a cat once that peed on boyfriend's things.
He said the cat goes or he does, I told him I'd miss him.
What I found out later from a friend was that he had kicked and teased his brother's cat until it acted completely feral around him.
Turns out my cat was a pretty good judge of character.
I'm just thankful I never lived with the guy and put my cats at risk by being alone with him.

Thanks For all the advice.
To start I got the cat while we were living together. But he really does not pay any attention to her (petting, filling food dish, playing)
I will also have to look in to how he treats her when I am not around. Because I am away a lot in the evenings.
We do not let her in the bed room so that took care of the bed issue, but then she peed on his shoes and his side of the couch ugh.
It could be that she really so not like him, because she is very affectation new people she has never meet.
I do not think it’s the shampoo we share the same bath products. But he is a welder and his clothes smell like steel a lot of the time, not too sure if that is a trigger.
I will give a good cleaning over the places she peed again just to make sure. Thank for your thoughts again, and more are still welcome.
There is one bright side to the situation there will be no fighting over who will get the cat if the relationship dose not last. Lol

When my boyfriend was alive, I lived in another state and on a lot of land and we had 40 indoor/outdoor cats. I now only have four just so you know.

Anyway one of my cats a DSH named Shadow would spray my boyfriend. Yes she was/is spayed. She just did not like him. On the off chance she came inside our house and he near me she would bite him (drawing blood) and then urinate right on him.

Now my boyfriend loved cats. He not I acquired the 40 cats. So he clearly liked cats right ? All our other cats LOVED him. But not Shadow .

So just keep in mind cats sometimes do things for reasons only cats know. But let us know how your investigation goes.
