Well, I am going to Brazil in a week, and taking a couple of Da Birds as a gift for a couple of cousins - as I made the comment to my sister, she immediately said.... What about my Robinho?
Turns out her dog never had a toy, just an old ball long time ago...

It is a medium dog, no breed, and she loves like her little baby, just doesn't have the money for toys and such - I guess he plays with her son's toys.
So, I promised to take a gift for Robinho

Here is the thing - It needs to pack well, as I have noooooo space- I mean, I am taking so much stuff I don't even know How I am fitting my clothes in my luggage.
What is a toy that dogs love? She said he loves to destroy things LOL - he is not very gentle when playing....
Any ideas of what should I take for him?

My dogs have always liked Kongs. If you get the right size it should last him a long time. You can cram it in any corner of your luggage--it won't break and is soft enough not to wreck anything else.

JOLLY BALLS!!!
My dogs and the shelter dogs where I work LOVE them.
They are fairly easy to pack you don't have to get a huge one. They are a little pricy but worth it. You can find them at Petsmart and Petco or even order them online.

These are the most popular with my dogs and the shelter dogs.

Her dog should have a BLAST with a jolly ball I guarantee it.

I suggest the Kong too. Small, durable and an all around great toy. Stuff it with biscuits, other treats and peanut butter. Keeps them busy for ages.

If he is an aggressive chewer, you should probably go with the Extreme Kong. They are the most durable. The extreme Kong comes in black.

You could probably fit a few stuffed toys that are pretty flat. If he destroys things, try the extra-tough toys or the toys that have NO stuffing inside. There is one brand with no stuffing and removable/replaceable squeakers (you could buy extra ones too.)
These type have always been a hit with my dogs too:

I have the Hide-a-bee, I Qube and a Halloween one that is a jack-o-lantern.

Another good toy a lot of dogs love is the Kong Wubba:

There's no place like home
My Lola is very hard on toys, but for some reason, her rope toys seem to last (the kind where the ends are tied in a big knot). She can demolish the soft squeaky toys in about 1 minute flat if you let her. Unfortunately, she doesn't like Kongs or she'd be getting those.

I just knew I shouldnt look at this thread, I was going to say Kongs untill I saw the stuff on the jollyball site those monsters look great. I love the thing with the eggs as well but my dogs would kill that in seconds.

It all really depends on the dog, unfortunately.

Sadie loves all things soft and won't touch vinyl/rubber toys at all. She also hates balls for some reason. She can destuff in seconds, but doesn't with her favourites. She will be 5 in October and still has a few toys from when she was a little puppy.

Fynn on the other hand LOVES all things rubber. He will destuff anything soft in seconds. For him we get kongs, stuffingless toys, toys made out of fire hose, treat balls, etc.

If the dog is an aggressive chewer I would recommend staying away from rope toys - the strands can unravel and if they swallow them it can be very dangerous.

I would recommend a kong, even if the dog doesn't normally like playing with rubber if you put peanut butter or treats inside they will play with it. I would also recommend the fire hose toys - they are harder to destroy than regular stuffed things but dogs that like soft toys usually still like them. They're great for playing tug with and also fetching, or just chewing.

Get the pup some tennis balls--they love those. And they're interactive too.

And one of those tug-of-war ropes... you know, the kind where the dog grabs one end and you grab the other and you pull... Those are a lot of fun. I used to play fetch with my roommates' dogs with those rope toys, too.
