And he's doing great!! The surgery was Thursday morning. He came off the ventilator in the wee hours of Friday morning. Yesterday, he ate, sat in a chair, walked in his room and later on in the hallway, his chest tubes came out and they took out all IVs except his central line. His blood sugar was high due to the stress of the surgery (he's not a diabetic), so he's been on insulin, but his numbers have been normal the last 2 times they've checked his sugar. He shouldn't need the insulin tomorrow. He has been walking and sitting in the chair more and more. He will have a bath again tonight, brush his teeth, and shave. He should be moved to a regular room tomorrow or Monday. It's been a long few days, but I'm so glad he's doing as well as he is!

Hannah and Tumbles miss their daddy, too.

I'm glad he is doing well. I'll add your family to my prayers.

My husband had triple bypass surgery about 15 years ago and is still doing great. I remember how scary and stressful it was. ((hug)) He was back working and living a normal life within 2 months.

I have another friend who just had bypass surgery, and he was home after only four days. That is just amazing, when you think about it.

Great news, Stephanie!

I will be in FW on Tuesday morning, (taking my neighbor to pick up her car) and will have a few free hours if you need help with anything. You know how to find me!!!!
