I want to make Phaedra some kitty cookies, it calls for 1/4 cup of beef broth, but mine has onion powder in it, and I've read/heard onions are toxic to cats, do you think this will be a problem?

These are the ingredients:
Salt, Beef Fat (BHA Propyl Gallate and Citric Acid added to protect flavor), Dextrose, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Corn Gluten and Wheat Protein (contains Salt, Caramel Color), Food Starch-Modified, Monosodium Glutamate, Onion Powder, Caramel Color, Beef Extract, Lactic Acid, Disodium Inosiate, Disodium Guanylate, Natural Flavoring, Oleoresin Paprika
Cotains: Soy, Wheat.

Thanks

While that's a really small amount, I wouldn't. The issue with onion is that it can cause anemia - but it would take more, and it's over time. I'd still recommend avoiding it.

I'd wait until you can get just plain, even organic, beef broth.

I totally agree with Laurie. Just not worth the chance, however slight.

Thank you guys, I have decided not to use it, I don't want to take the risk especially since she is still just a kitten

I wouldn't even worry about the onion because this broth has BHA and soy in it, and that to me is an immediate NO!
