Los Angeles, August 19, 1996 - Somehow I had the feeling that trip was going to last more than a couple of months.... It's now been 15 years.... 15 years of amazing, unforgettable experiences, 15 years that this country has been my home.... Wow, what a trip - literally! What a Lucky girl I am - I citizen of two AMAZING countries - Brasil and United States!! Thanks for being a great, great home for this last decade and half US of A!!

It's so wonderful to read of someone becoming an American Citizen and loving it. Congrats on your dual citizenship, and I'm glad you're here.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments!!

In a few weeks it will be my BF's 10th anniversary of arriving at LAX from England with 2 suitcases- one of which we just threw in the trash this week because it finally broke beyond repair.

Thank you The day I became an American Citizen was one of the most special days of my life I worked very hard for it, and wanted very very much to become one... Thanks Tricia... Not so readily But thank you! I look back and I say, whew! I would never do it again! I have been through heaven and hell, but it has all been part of an amazing experience that I will cherish forever. It is not easy to immigrate alone at 22, to another country, without speaking the language.... Even when you don't think you are immigrating, when you don't plan to (those were not my initial plans) - but again.... 22yr olds don't really thing about all that stuff do they?
