So depressed

Well i have been married for almost 5 days now and have been enjoying married life.
But lost my job today "because i refused to work last weekend"...Ya well i was busy getting married,Unfortunately i was still within my probationary period so they had every right.
I am pretty sure Aarons wedding band was taken the morning of our wedding,We got it 1 month before and he tried it on then it went straight into the jewelry box until the night before then he put it on his desk after admiring it.
We never had anyone over until the morning of the wedding then all of a sudden the band is gone.I have searched this house daily on my hands and knees with a flashlight covering every corner(including in cupboards and drawers).
I am so upset right now because now that i lost my job we can not afford to replace it and won't be able to for awhile.

Should have gone to work in your wedding gown...

Major double bummer. I can't blame you for being depressed.

Oh that sucks! Did they not tell you in advance what might happen and give you a chance to negotiate some other times? I know it is too late now but it really does seem unfair. I do hope the wedding band is just mislaid, you deserve some good times to enjoy your new status.

It just seems odd and unfair!

you find the ring! Seems like maybe one of the cats was up on the dresser and knocked it off... and if it rolled, who knows where they could have batted that wonderful new toy? It'll turn up under the stove or refrigerator or something crazy, when you least expect it and aren't looking for it.

I know it's an employer's market now but that does seem really unfair. I hope you find the ring. I have found things in really unusual places and hopefully you will find it. That would be really low for someone to take one of your rings on your wedding day.

Oh, that is so sad. I agree - the ring will turn up when you least expect it. You just hate to think it's someone close enough to you to be invited into your home.

Re the job - well, I'm thinking you gave them ample notice about your wedding date, right? And if so, and they still are so scroogish, another, far better employer will come along.

I can just imagine how sad and mad you must be feeling - but keep telling yourself you've got a great partner and someday this will just make a great story to tell at anniversary dinners.

Did they actually expect you to work on your wedding day???? I'm sending you lots of good luck There are much better employers out there, and I hope one of them finds you soon.
P.S. I'm not sure how many cats you have, but is it possible one of them found the wedding band and started playing with it?

I'm so sorry this has happened during what is suppose to be one of the happiest times of you life!!
I know a better job is out there for you. Maybe you can enjoy this time like its a surprise vacation? I do hope you find the wedding band. I hate the thought that a visitor might have stolen it!!!! If you've got a kitty that's anything like my Turtle it may be stashed away some place. that your luck turns around!!

About the job the thing is i was casual and i had picked up tones of shifts before the wedding and told them i was not going to be answering any phone calls that weekend yet they still called and my brother told them no i was not able to pick up the shift because i was getting married and they called 2x the day of and 2x the next day and 1x at 5am monday morning.

Maybe now you'll find a better job
