Well, it's a very bittersweet day today. Sophie got her stitches out after her surgery, so I guess she goes (back) up for adoption today. I'm very sad, as I'd love to keep her, & just don't have faith in people enough to care for her the way she deserves to finally be cared for. She's here to stay until the purrfect home comes along. I'm very sad at the prospect of her leaving, but I can't keep them all - and she deserves an extra special home for such an amazing kitty.
(And I'm sure I'll bawl my eyes out when she does go home)

She can finally purr w/o issue, run around like a crazy cat to play with Gumby w/o difficulty breathing. You don't hear every breath she takes, there's no snot coming out her nose. For the first time in 8 years, she's finally getting to live life the way she should've! Sophie's a purebred Himalayan, spayed, front declawed, UTD on shots, FeLV (-), housetrained (so long as you cater to her 'litterbox requirements'), & good with cats/dogs/kids. She needs another cat in the home to play with, she needs a lot of attention from people. She's pretty playful, loves strings & wand toys! Very affectionate. Did I mention very affectionate & snuggly????
Requires daily combing or she mats up. Just had a dental done about 1.5 months ago. She's had $500-600 in medical care & surgeries in the past 3 months!!

and finally a video of her fluffiness playing! (click to play the video)

I love Sophie!!!
She is definitely a royal kitty.

Lots of vibes that she finds her forever home!!!

I'm going to miss seeing pictures of her. She is one beautiful little girl and has been so very fortunate to have had you as her foster meowmy to take care of her medical needs and make her healthy

I really hope she finds a perfect home to go to soon! I'm so happy that she's healthy and can finally breathe normally and is a happy cat! I know you'll miss her, but I know you'll see to it that she goes to the right home where she will stay happy and healthy.

Keep it clean, scooped often. No rubber backed rugs, or she poops on them! If the LB is in the bathroom, no towels on the floor, either. No hoods on the box, needs to be a low/flat box. And she's picky about her litter types.

I'm feeling both happy and sad about this thread. I'm happy because it's obvious how well Sophie is doing. She is thriving under your care and has transformed into a beautiful, loving cat. And, I am sad for two reasons -- one, you're not going to have her in your life anymore if she finds her forever home, and, two, we won't get to see her pretty face here on TCS. But, our collective loss is someone else's gain. There's no doubt this princess will make a family very happy.

Being eight years old and finally being able to live the life she was meant to live is such a gift. Thank you for taking Sophie in and ensuring that her life would be better for it. I honestly hope that her family is out there waiting for her -- someone (or a group of someones) who can provide her with all of the love and care that she deserves. Sophie is, indeed, a princess and I hope her kingdom and minions await. How could it not? She's such a lovely, sweet girl. And, she deserves that from her new owners ten-fold.

In the meantime, please continue to shower us with Sophie's photos. I think I speak for many of us when I say we'll miss her when she finds her forever home. Thank you, again, for giving her a good life. I can only imagine how much you'll miss her as it's obvious how much she is adored. But, that just means another kitty in need can be saved. You do so much for cats and it shows. Not only in Sophie, but in Gumby, Lola, and the others as well.

Someone I know is going to (hopefully) adopt her. Well, take her next weekend, and if no litterbox issues occur in their home they will adopt her. They are smart enough to know dealing w/ litterbox problems is beyond their abilities. There is some concern that this is more habit than anything, and they do not have the ability to work around it with their living situation. So if all goes well Sophie has a new home, if there are problem she'll be back here until we can find someone to adopt the litter pooper.

I don't think anyone expected you to find her a home so quickly! Mega
to you if this works out, because you'll be a wreck missing her!

I do hope that you know these people means you'd get updates???
Maybe even be able to see her?
